Product Development Associate

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Product Development Associate to join our team. This role will work directly with the Creative Director/Founder on product development, project management, studio processes and organization. You will play a key role in studio organization including assisting with prototype fittings, pre-production samples, and spec sheets. Your role will include creating seasonal mood boards, essential to the creative team, which will require the ability to identify key footwear and fashion trends relevant to our brand.

What You'd Do:

  • As one half of a two person product team, you will have exposure to all product design and development and will be instrumental in keeping development organized and timely.
  • You will support the Creative Director with product development tasks for all categories, including shoes, bags, accessories and socks.
  • You will assist with creating mood boards, design boards and track development digitally in Trello.
  • You will assist with the design and detailing of products and create spec sheets to launch styles into development with factories.
  • You will subsequently communicate with factories regularly on prototyping, field development questions and keep development on calendar.
  • You will draft and issue purchase orders on a monthly cadence and assist with keeping production on track.
  • You will create and maintain organizational systems for studio design tools. This will include maintaining materials & standards libraries as well as keeping inspiration materials and reference samples organized by season.

     

    We're Obsessed With You Because...

    • Education: BA
    • 2-3 years experience in product development, preferably in fashion 
    • Must be proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Google sheets and Trello.
    • Above all, a desire to learn and master processes, a strong sense of organization and time management are key to this role!

    Compensation

    • $60-$68k
    • EE Discounts - $300 quarterly stipend plus 30% off retail price
    • 80% contribution towards health, dental and vision
    • Choice of 4 or 5 day workweek
    • Role is In-Person in Ventura CA.
