These shoes are absolutely gorgeous and beautifully made. I tried them on and took a few steps and managed to immediately trip and fall. I think that with more practice they could become wearable but the fear of future tripping led me to return them. It is likely my lack of experience walking in shoes with a rigid wood sole. I wish that I had been able to make them work.

I have a decently wide foot and I'm usually an 8.5 and a 9 fit great. The break in period is a bit annoying but once the leather has softened these are so cute and comfy to walk in. I will say, if the memory foam sole is a dark color like black or dark blue (i have a pair of Marlos with a dark blue sole), it will stain the bottom of your feet for the first few wears.

Got my Martinos in a size 10. I am a 9 in most other shoe brands, but have learned that because I have wide feet I am a 10 in Charlotte Stone shoes. (This is true of basically every pair I have ordered. Do not be fooled by the "all widths welcome" label on their shoes - their shoes are generally on the narrow side of a standard width.) The Martinos had reviews saying they were wider than other shoes and I was going to go for a 9 in them because of this, but I really wanted the Light Jade color and nines were out of stock. I went with a 10 and luckily they do fit, but agree based on the fit that they are wider than other shoe styles made by Charlotte Stone. On to aspects other than width! The light jade suede is absolutely stunning and the shoe is really comfortable to walk in... no sore soles from walking in them, though I am walking short distances for now to break them in. I do get a slight bruising feeling across the top of my right foot, but they are breaking in and I have a high instep, so that is to be expected with this shoe shape. Over all, I am very happy with the Martinos and cannot wait to have them fully broken in and wear them more.

I am sending these back and am so disappointed because they’re so cute on. But, I literally sound like a horse clomping down the hallway with these on. They’re very comfortable when I first put them on, but when I start walking, there is no give and it slices across my foot. And they’re just hard to walk in because of the wooden sole. How do people wear clogs- I’m totally mystified.

Not only are these shoes gorgeous, they're comfortable and easy to walk in... I can wear them all day! I get compliments non-stop and I they make me super happy to look at. Highly recommend.
