We met our next #MuseOfTheMonth Joelle Grace at a pop up with our first ever muse Michelle Norris in Atlanta. Joelle arrived wearing a cowboy hat, something else vintage-y and amazing and was so sweet and cool and inspiring we just had to see how she'd wear a pair of our shoes. Who are you & what do you do for work?
Hi! Im Joelle Grace, I'm an editorial photographer and director.
How do you know us?
I met you lovely ladies at an event in Atlanta at one of my favorite stores, Coco + Mischa.
Describe your style in three words.
Vintage. Eccentric. Uncle.
On an average day, you’ll find me in:
A colored pant, button down shirt, boots with colored socks.
When I'm not working you'll find me:
Travelling, Going to dinner with my new husband and friends, playing in my band The Underhill Family Orchestra, kickboxing.
What are you watching or reading or hobbying right now?
I always have a podcast on, usually My Favorite Murder or anything NPR. Currently watching all of the Coen Brothers films.
Who is your role model & why?
I look up to so many trailblazing women who don't stick to norms and
and dress how they want and act how they want.
Iris Apfel, Grace Coddington, Francoise Hardy and Tim Walker (not a woman, but my favorite photographer) are some of my favs.
What do you love about you? (yes—give yourself some love!)
In the past few years I've learned to embrace what makes me myself with no apologies. It's not an easy place to get to but it has been really rewarding in my personal and business life. I love being a good partner and friend and taking time for people in my life.
What accomplishment are you most proud of from the last year?
Man, 2019 was INSANE. I signed with my agency, shot for Billboard Magazine, executed some projects Im really proud of, and got married to the best person I know and it was a hell of a party. I can't pick one thing!
Shameless shoe plug which of our fall shoes is your favorite & why?
I basically live in my Felix white boots. They go with almost anything and add a pop of brightness.
