This month, artist, style icon & long time CS lover Yoldana (@every1ismyfriend) is telling us a bit about herself and showing us all the ways she makes Charlotte Stone Shoes her own ✨
Where are you from & where do you live now?
I’ve lived up and down the west coast from San Diego, to Vancouver, B.C. I spent much of my younger life in San Francisco and Oakland, but I’ve been in Los Angeles for the past seven years, and I’m planning to stay forever.

60s, 70s, and 80s television really shaped who I am as a person. Gidget, Get Smart, The Prisoner, Magnum PI, and Murder She Wrote informed my fashion sensibilities.
What do you pick out first when getting dressed?
I don’t usually pick out a consistent type of clothing, but instead, one piece that I am determined to build an outfit around.
What article of clothing are you living in right now?
I just got a new cashmere sweater from Jumper 1234 that is so soft and light enough for L.A. winters.
What is your favorite pair of jeans right now?
AG - Kassie straight-leg jeans or Favorite Daughter - Jordies. I love a very high waist and a wide leg.
If you had to wear the same outfit every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I’d keep it breezy with a Frida dress by Nooworks and a pair of Charlotte Stone shoes. Maybe a denim jacket or a shacket in case of a Southern California cold front.
What are you watching or reading or hobbying right now?
Watching- I’ve been re-watching every movie Parker Posey has ever made in anticipation of the next season of The White Lotus. And I just started watching Columbo.
Reading- I’m a zealous reader! A few of my recent favorites are This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno, Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova, and The Rabbit Hutch by Tess Gunty.
Hobbying- I just got into visible mending. I’m obsessed with patching up the little holes in my vintage clothes with colorful woven mends.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
“Stay” by Lisa Loeb or “The Promise” by When in Rome
What's something that always serves as an instant mood-boost for you?
The song “Am I In Heaven” by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, iced coffee, or the company of my friends.
Describe your “perfect” day.
Waking up after 9 am, walking to get a coffee and a pastry, and enjoying them outside on the patio while doing a little reading, laying around poolside, a trip to the dog park, dinner and a show with friends, and then home with my skincare routine done and teeth brushed and flossed by midnight.
What is your favorite season and why?
Summer. I have a tattoo that says, “every day is summer vacation”, and it’s very much a state of mind. There’s something so comforting about long, warm days when there is no place that you need to be.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation, for sure. Think of the possibilities!
